With over 18 years of assisted living experience, we are proud to bring our "home-like" model to our future residents. Residents are encouraged to bring their own furnishings and personal items to make their rooms feel as homelike as possible. Our centrally-located kitchen allows the smells of home cooking to permeate throughout the house, enticing residents out of their rooms to enjoy delicious meals and the companionship of others. Our cozy physical design allows residents to enjoy the kitchen, dining, and living room only a few steps from their private apartment. We eliminated long halls and hidden corridors so our residents won't lose their way. With activities are at their doorstep, and caregivers close at hand, depression and insecurity are minimized by our home-like atmosphere where friendship and caring are optimized.
At New Haven Assisted Living and Memory care, we offer a Certified Alzheimer's home with 16 private apartments on the same campus as our assisted living community. We provide supportive care for our resident's with Alzheimer's or forms of dementia. New Haven helps residents engage life through knowledge given by family and friends. Knowing who the resident was, allows our caregivers to relate and be in the moment with our residents. Supporting our residents in their moments of time has given them the livelihood to succeed and thrive. In our home like setting residents with memory decline feel comfortable and safe in an environment that feels warm and caring.
New Haven prides itself on employing Caregivers with a compassionate heart and encouraging outlook to bring the best care available. Ongoing training and education is a vital part of our continuing care. Our Caregivers receive monthly training that focuses on helping residents maintain their independence to managing behaviors.

About the Administrator
Sharron has been an Administrator for over 19 years. During that time she felt the desire to change her focus of Administration within the Health care field to Assisted Living Administration. This motivated her to go back to School, earn her Bachelor's degree and certify in Gerontology. Sharron also did a semester internship with a Home Health Agency. She trained as "Administrator in Training" for 9 months with Sally Nicholls here at New Haven before accepting the position as Administrator.
Sharron's educational experience inspired and convinced her that residents have a higher quality of life in smaller, home like facilities. New Haven fulfills her ideal of what the optimum situation should be for residence. She has embraced New Haven's motto and philosophy of "Forget-Me-Not" caring.
Sharron has raised four wonderful children with her supportive and loving husband, Dr. Calvin Kunz. She is happiest when she is nurturing and helping others achieve their goals and dreams. Sharron has served in many leadership positions in her church and in the community. She enjoys sharing time with her family and adores her fourteen grandchildren. Her interest and hobbies include gardening, horseback riding, reading, traveling and especially her faith.
